According to reviews, this website allows users to submit reviews to the web page of each product. Visitors must rate the product on a scale from one to five stars. This gives visitors the access to either comment or vote on the reviews that they might find helpful to them. If the review is given the highest number of comments or votes, it will appear on the front page of the product. And in 2010, this amazon.com has been reported to be the largest single source of Internet consumer reviews.

Amazon.com consist of a content search feature known as “Search Inside the Book” is a feature which allows costumers search for keywords in the full text of many books in the catalog. This feature started with 12,000 tittles in october 23, 2003 and there are about 300,000 books in the program. Amazon has coorperated with around 130 publishers to allow users to carry out these searches.
MARKETING
Amazon.com generates at least 40% of its sales from people who put up their products up for sales using the website and also from affiliate marketing of product and services on the site. One amazing fact of this, is that amazon pays you a omission for every one people you refer to buy a product from the site. It has been recorded that amazon.com is the second largest advertising site after Google ads.
SALES RANK
Amazon rank sales depending on the popularity of a product being sold on the site. This amazon sales rank (ASR) is also used to indicate and determine which product makes it to the “best sellers list”. It is also noted that any product that makes it to the best sellers list will be given access and right to exposured on the amazon website and this would lead to increase in sales of the product.
FINANCES
Amazon.com is primarily a retail site with a sales revenune model. Amazon gains a small percentage of the profit made from the sales of each product sold through the website while also allowing companies to pay an amount for adverting their products on the site.
As of 2018, amazon.com is ranked 8th on the Fortunate 500 rankings of the largest United States corporations by total revenue. Also, amazon’s market capitalization was valued at over U$$803 billion in early November 2018.
