This also have to so whether the essay is divided into paragraphs that are logically linked together to ensure coherence and unity of the essay.
c. Mechanical accuracy: This have to do with proper use of punctuation, spelling and grammar mistakes.
d. Expression: This refers to the ability of one to present his/her essay in a clear and intelligible English using balanced varieties of sentences.

1.Narrative Essay: This is a composition that involves telling a story or relating an experience either real or imagined. One significant quality of a good narrative is the use of dialogue. Dialogue enables the writer to make his characters to be involved in the event he is narrating.
2.Descriptive Essay: This involves giving information on how something is done or what something looks like. It may also involve giving information about an event or incident. In writing descriptive essays, the description must be very vivid i.e the description should be done in stages and the process clearly explained so that someone else will be able to follow the procedure and do the same thing with ease.
3.Agrumentative Essay: This involves presenting arguments for or against a position. It can also be seen as a debate on paper. The goal here is to convince your listeners.
4.Expository Essay: Exposition means explanation. It involves giving information about a subject-matter. This covers a broad area of human endeavors ranging from socio-cultural, economic, political, academic, religious and even science and technology. This type of writing requires the possession of adequate information including facts and figures on the subject-matter. It therefore demands researching and reading wide to be able to do justice to a question on expository essay.
